Which events is British Esports speaking at?

The British Esports Association often attend public conferences, trade shows and other gaming events.

If you want to find out about our views or catch-up in person with us, attending these events is a great way to do so. Here’s a list of some upcoming events we’ll be attending or speaking at.

 

Esports in Further Education Forum – May 23rd 2019

The British Esports Association, in partnership with AoC Sport, is hosting a special forum and networking event all about competitive gaming and how colleges can get involved with the growing trend.

An expert panel consisting of members of the British Esports Association, colleges taking part in our British Esports Championships and industry experts will speak about the benefits of esports.

The Esports in Further Education Forum will take place on Thursday May 23rd at Sixways Stadium, Warriors Way, Hindlip, WR3 8ZE. Special thanks to the home of Worcester Warriors for their support in hosting this event. It’s free to attend, with refreshments and lunch provided to delegates.

Women in Sport Summit – June 19th 2019

This conference will drive progress by tackling the biggest challenges facing the industry, while highlighting women’s crucial role in the sector’s growth. Through its solutions-focused approach, the event will provide delegates with the skills and confidence they need to realise their ambitions at work.

The event takes place at London’s Twickenham Stadium and will feature a talk from British Esports founder Chester King.

NSPCC How Safe Are Our Children? Conference 2019 – June 25th-26th

Get key insights on child safety online at the NSPCC’s annual two-day conference, How safe are our children? Growing up online 2.0. Join sector leaders sharing their knowledge, innovations and solutions to protect children online, and get involved in interactive activities to learn techniques and skills you can take away and use in your professional practice. Topics include: young people and digital relationships; the ‘internet of things’; gaming and the dark web.

British Esports head of education Tom Dore will be speaking at this event.

The conference takes place at the QEII Centre, London on 25-26 June 2019.

Sport and Recreation Alliance Summer Reception – June 26th 2019

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is hosting a Summer Reception at the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday June 26th.

Dr Phillip Lee MP will host the reception in the Members Dining Room and delegates will have the opportunity to network with MPs, Members of the House of Lords and senior Civil Servants, along with colleagues from across the sport and recreation sector. British Esports CEO Chester King will be in attendance.

The event is taking place during National School Sport Week.

 

ITF Worldwide Participation Conference – July 7th and 8th 2019

The ITF Worldwide Participation Conference 2019 will build on the global conversation that began at the 2018 edition, providing an interactive forum centered around shared practices and discussions with specific attention focused on the retention in sport and physical activity participation.

British Esports CEO Chester King will be giving a presentation during the following session: ‘How the use of technology and esports can assist in driving growth and retention in physical activity’.

Registrations close on June 28th.
