Paladins: Champions of the Realm is a relatively new free-to-play objective-based team first-person shooter from Hi-Rez Studios, the makers of competitive MOBA game SMITE.

The game’s style is akin to other cartoon-like shooters such as Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch.

There are two main game modes in Paladins: Siege, where each team works to earn four Objective Points total to win the match, and Payload, an attack/defend style mode with two rounds. The attacking team must escort the stolen treasure to the drop point near the defending team’s base, while the defenders push it back and hold out long enough for the timer to run out.

Paladins is a team-based shooter with strategy elements and deep character customization through it’s unique use of collectible cards. These cards amplify and augment a character’s core set of abilities in many interesting ways.

Paladins is free-to-play for PC and current-generation consoles.
