There is only one week remaining until the British Esports Student Champs Finals take place at Confetti X, the brand new purpose-built esports arena at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, Nottingham.

This year’s competition saw over 700 teams and 3,000 players from across the UK compete in a variety of games including: Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League and VALORANT.

“The British Esports Student Champs is the premier competition in the UK for school and college students, so we’re delighted to be at the Finals again this year.” said David Jackson, NUEL Managing Director. “All weekend, we will be available to give advice to students and parents who want to learn more about the next stage of the esports journey, as well as organising some fun gaming activities too.”

“We’re excited to attend the Student Champs Grand Finals and to be able to show our support for grassroots esports wider than NSE’s usual audience of university students.” said Becky Wright, Senior Partnerships Manager, NSE (National Student Esports). “It’ll be a great event; we’re looking forward to running a small activity alongside the finals for attendees to play in and give out a few small prizes throughout the weekend!”

Featuring the many competitive games between finalists, the event will also see keynotes, arcade games, and a range of other activities for spectators and finalists to enjoy throughout the day.

Additional activities will be available for visitors throughout the weekend, including;

  • Sim Racing: Test your speed on sim racers – best lap time per day wins a prize!

The Student Champs, a series of exciting and competitive grassroots video game tournaments, were designed by British Esports for students aged 12+, and open to all secondary schools, Further Education (FE) colleges and Alternative Provision (AP) schools throughout the UK. Engaging a wide demographic of young people, this extracurricular team-based activity helps provide an avenue to motivate and inspire students to continue in their studies.
