Webinar
Join British Esports and Pearson on January 27th for a key webinar covering vital updates on esports qualifications and funding changes following the UK Government’s Curriculum and Assessment review.
In 2020, British Esports announced a landmark partnership with Pearson to develop a BTEC in Esports, a qualification designed to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in the rapidly growing esports industry.
Since then, esports education has surged in popularity, with BTEC in Esports now offered at hundreds of schools, colleges, and universities across the UK.
The esports industry itself continues to expand, with recent estimates projecting that the global esports market will reach over $1.6 billion by 2025, driven by the increasing demand for skilled professionals in game design, broadcasting, marketing, and more.
British Esports has been at the forefront of shaping esports education, ensuring that students gain practical, industry-relevant knowledge to prepare them for a wide range of careers within the sector.
In response to the UK Government’s recent Curriculum and Assessment review announcement, British Esports, in partnership with Pearson, is hosting a pivotal webinar on January 27th, 2025.
This event aims to guide educators and administrators through the significant changes affecting esports qualifications and course funding across England.
Attendees will receive vital updates and insights to ensure their centres are well-prepared for these upcoming reforms. The briefing will focus on reforms that directly impact education centres across England.
Curriculum Reform Overview: A detailed breakdown of the UK government’s curriculum changes and their direct impact on esports qualifications in education centres.
Pearson’s Response: Key updates from Pearson regarding the changes, highlighting how these reforms affect current and future esports qualifications.
Interactive Q&A: A live session where participants can connect with other education centres, ask questions, and clarify how the reforms will influence their programs.
This webinar is specifically tailored for educators, administrators, and decision-makers across England whose institutions currently offer, or plan to offer, esports qualifications.
It’s an essential session for those looking to stay informed and aligned with the latest educational reforms in esports.
