Esports England
Growing support for the development of esports and gaming in England, from amateur grassroots tournaments to professional esports careers.
Global Competition. Medal Recognition.
Representing the nation on the international competitive gaming scene, Esports England were founded in 2021 to compete at the pilot Commonwealth Esports Championships in Birmingham alongside the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Competing against 28 nations from across the 72 members of the Commonwealth, Esports England were the most awarded nation of the competition, picking up one gold medal in Rocket League Womens, three silver medals in Rocket League Open and Dota 2 Open and Womens respectively, alongside one bronze medal in eFootball Womens.
“We know how good we are, but to then go out on the stage and prove it is incredible. It’s an unreal feeling to have esports at the Commonwealth, to play for your country. There are so few words to describe it.”
