Student Champs 2024/25 Finals

British Esports are pleased to announce the Grand Finals of the Student Champs Nationals.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! British Esports is incredibly excited to host the highly anticipated Grand Finals of the British Esports Student Champs,  the UK’s largest amateur grassroots esports tournament for schools and colleges.

After a year of intense competition that featured close to 750 teams, 3,000+ individual students and a staggering 13,000 games, with incredible dedication and exceptional skill, the competition comes down to the final eight teams competing in major esports titles including Overwatch 2, League of Legends, VALORANT, and Rocket League.

This year’s Student Champs Finals will also feature recognition for outstanding individual performance, with Oneallsports proudly sponsoring the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award, highlighting players who demonstrate exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

With over 65% of Further Education (FE) colleges actively involved in weekly fixtures, the Student Champs truly is the heart of educational esports development in the UK.

Set to take place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July, 2025 at the National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland.

*All finalists and staff leads will receive pre-allocated tickets.

Key Timings and SCHEDULE

Saturday 5th July:

• 09.00am GMT+1: Doors open for finalists and staff leads.
• 10.00am GMT+1: Doors open to all guests, visitors and ticket holders.
• 11.00am GMT+1: Kicking off around 11am is the Overwatch 2 Finals featuring Antares.eXe from Exeter College and Confetti Arrows from Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.
• 02.30pm GMT+1: Getting underway around 2.30pm GMT+1 is the League of Legends Finals, featuring Burnley Esports Elite LoL from Burnley College and Croydon Prime from Croydon College.
• 05.00pm GMT+1: Official event end.

Sunday 6th July:

• 09.00am GMT+1: Doors open for finalists and staff leads.
• 10.00am GMT+1: Doors open to all guests, visitors and ticket holders.
• 11.00am GMT+1: Kicking off around 11am GMT+1 is the Rocket League Finals, featuring Ariel.eXe from Exeter College and York Vikings from York College.
• 02.30pm GMT+1: Getting underway around 2.30pm GMT+1 is the VALORANT Finals featuring GCS Owls NatVal (from Gower College Swansea) and CONEL Cyphers Valorant  from The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London.
• 05.00pm GMT+1: Official event end.
