These are scheduled to take place at Confetti X, the brand new purpose-built esports arena at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham, on July 2nd and 3rd. It will be a LAN (local area network) event, with matches playing out on a live stage. The Student Champs, a series of exciting and competitive grassroots video game tournaments, were designed by British Esports for students aged 12+, and open to all secondary schools, Further Education (FE) colleges and Alternative Provision (AP) schools throughout the UK. Engaging a wide demographic of young people, this extracurricular team-based activity helps provide an avenue to motivate and inspire students to continue in their studies. This year’s competition saw a huge number of teams compete across a variety of games including: Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League and VALORANT. From over 700 teams across the UK competing in the Winter and Spring seasons throughout 2021/22, only the final 20 remain to battle it out in the live grand finals. Both ‘Weekend’ (2 day passes) are available as well as ‘Day’ spectator tickets for July 2nd or 3rd respectively. Tickets to the finals are automatically assigned to all finalists and team leaders. The Student Champs will also be available as a live stream via the British Esports Twitch channel.  Doors will open from 9am for finalists and 10am for spectators. There will also be keynotes, arcade games and wider activities for spectators and finalists to enjoy throughout the day. British Esports would once again like to congratulate all of the teams competing and look forward to a thrilling grand final back in Nottingham this year. ## ENDS ## Contacts Alice Leaman | Head of Operations | British Esports | Email: champs@britishesports.org Adam McGowan | Marketing Director | British Esports | Email: press@britishesports.org About British Esports British Esports is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2016 to support and promote esports in the UK.
