Martin Heap is the Buildings and Operations Manager at British Esports, overseeing our facilities at the National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland.

Martin joined British Esports from a varied background in property and facilities management in the north east.

This has included working in the purpose built student accommodation sector in Durham and Newcastle as well as the iconic Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art Centre in Gateshead.

Prior to that Martin worked in the travel and holiday sectors in the UK and Greece after completing a thirty year career as a police officer in London and Sunderland.

Martin has also worked in various roles in the police including firearms, surveillance, public order, custody officer and major enquiry detective.
