Sunderland, Thursday 16th May 2024 – British Esports, the national body for esports in the United Kingdom, has announced the return of its climactic British Esports Student Champs Nationals Grand Finals live event for 2024. This event will see the very best collegiate esports teams in the UK compete across a variety of games – VALORANT, League of Legends, Overwatch 2 and Rocket League – in a LAN stage environment. It will take place at Confetti X in Nottingham on the weekend of July 6th and 7th 2024, from 9.30am to 7.30pm BST each day (times subject to change). Confetti X is a 100-seater 4,000 sqft multi-event esports venue and content studio, set in the heart of Nottingham at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies’s multi-site campus. Part of Nottingham Trent University, the venue has hosted the finals for the past couple of years. Players aged 12+ have been competing since September 2023 in the British Esports Student Champs 23/24 season, and the finalists have now been confirmed. The leading team from the North Division and one from the South Division will face-off in each game. Teams will also gain access to British Esports’ world-class National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland. Teams will take part in bootcamp sessions to practise in person ahead of the big day, complemented by dedicated sessions for media and content creation. Free tickets for the in-person British Esports Student Champs Finals ‘24 are now available for attendees to secure via the Eventbrite page. The finals will also be broadcast live online via twitch.tv/britishesports.
