After the end of the Intel Extreme Masters matches from Katowice, Poland, the same ESL League of Legends Twitch channelhosted the ESL UK League of Legends channel, resulting in a boost of around 20,000 viewers. As the event progressed the number of viewers fluctuated between 21,000 and 11,000. UK League of Legends matches usually attract a few thousand viewers, so this was a welcome boost to the UK scene. The ESL UK finals are only a few weeks away (taking place on March 18th at ESL’s Leicester studio), with the best talent in the UK fighting for a place in the finals against XENEX.
