2022 The*GameHERs Awards “Aspiring Ally Organisation”

British Esports’ Women in Esports initiative awarded “Aspiring Ally Organization of the Year” at the 2022 The*GameHERs Awards for its work in promoting inclusion in areas beyond gender – promoting the involvement of people of all abilities, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and background to get involved in esports.

2022 Women in Games Global Awards “Most Inclusive Esports Initiative”

British Esports’ Women in Esports initiative was awarded the “Most Inclusive Esports Initiative” at the 2022 Women in Games Global Awards for its continuing work in creating a welcoming community in esports for women and marginalised genders.

British Esports was awarded Runner Up for the “Best Commercial/Association Partnership” at the 2022 Exhibition News (EN) Awards for its work in association with Hyve and Bett at the 2022 Bett Show.

British Esports’ Women in Esports initiative was a nominated finalist in the Sports Business Awards, “Womens Sports Business Award” – Governing Bodies and Teams category, for its ongoing work in developing a more equitable and diverse esports industry..

2023 International Sports Awards “Diversity and Inclusion Award “

British Esports’ Women in Esports initiative was a nominated finalist in the International Sports Awards, “Diversity and Inclusion Award” for its ongoing work in creating a more equitable and diverse esports industry.

PERSONAL RECOGNITION

Celebrating the personal awards and achievement of current and former British Esports staff members.

2022 Pearson National Teaching Awards for “Digital Innovator of the Year”

Head of Education at British Esports, Kalam Neale, was awarded the prestigious “Digital Innovator of the Year” at the 2022 Pearson National Teaching Awards for his ground-breaking work in developing a specialist digital provision focused on educational development.

2023 MCV/Develop Women in Games Awards “Education Impact Award”

British Esports’ Head of Operations, Alice Leaman was awarded the “Education Impact Award” at the 2023 MCV Women in Games Awards in recognition of her work in developing the UK’s largest amateur grassroots esports tournament for schools and colleges.

Alice Leaman, Head of Operations at British Esports, was nominated for the “Contribution of Gamification in Women’s Sport Award” at the 2023 Everything in Sport Awards having demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and dedication in promoting the use of video games as a force for change in the field of women’s sports.

2023 MCV/Develop Women in Games Awards “Journalism Impact”

Current Social Media and Content Manager for College of Esports, and former Content Manager at British Esports, Bryony-Hope Green, was awarded “Journalism Impact” at the 2023 MCV/Develop Women in Games Awards, in recognition of her contribution to delivering impactful, inspirational and sometimes groundbreaking journalism.

2023 MCV/Develop 30 Under 30 Induction

Head of Operations at British Esports, Alice Leaman has been inducted into the 2022 MCV/Develop 30 Under 30, for her work involving the British Esports Student Champs, coordinating a large network of staff and volunteers to make deliver events, tournaments, and initiatives, alongside her day-to-day efforts.
