Are you someone with a sharp eye on the pulse of esports games, always up to date on the latest developments and community news?

We’re looking for game advisors to keep us informed about the evolving gaming landscape. Your knowledge and experience of specific esports games, their respective communities and the latest emerging trends will contribute significantly to our understanding of the gaming community.

About British Esports

Established in 2016, British Esports are the national body for esports in the United Kingdom.  As one of the world’s leading esports authorities, we are the recognised member of the Global Esports Federation for Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and founding member of the International Olympic Committee Esports and Gaming Liaison Group.  

From nationwide amateur grassroots competition to cutting edge esports curriculum and national representation on the global stage, we’re dedicated to increasing levels of esports awareness, improving esports standards, and inspiring future esports talent.

Role Overview

As part of our mission to promote, improve and inspire, we’re keen to build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the esports ecosystem, to help us further understand the complexities and nuances of esports titles and their respective communities.

If you’re keen to join our mission, and possess unrivalled knowledge of specific esports titles, then we’d love to hear from you.  We’re seeking a range of volunteer Game Advisors to provide their valuable input and guidance alongside our own team, to help support and nurture grassroots amateur esports throughout the UK.

Reporting To

Social Media and Community Manager.

Hours of Work

This is a voluntary role with no commitment to the hours required.

Location

This is a remote working role with occasional visits to the National Esports Performance Campus.

Salary

This is a voluntary role.

Role Requirements

  • Expert, in depth knowledge of specific esports titles
  • Good understanding of competitive gaming and the esports industry
  • Ability to engage and interact positively with gamers of all skill levels.
  • Active and engaging in respective esports communities
  • Reliable and committed to volunteering in a virtual environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders

Specific Duties

  • Represent British Esports at various activations and networking events
  • Content collaboration inc; guides, articles and videos related to specific esports titles
  • Actively encourage the growth of amateur grassroots esports locally or nationally
  • Answer ad- hoc, game-specific questions and queries relating to specific esports titles

Additional Information

As a volunteer Game Advisor for British Esports, we are seeking passionate individuals who care about the growth and development of amateur grassroots esports and player pathways.

Game Advisors must be able to commit to a minimum level of involvement with British Esports throughout a 12 month period, from content marketing, to events and activations. These will be agreed and determined on a case by case basis.

The volunteer Game Advisor role is ideal for those who are deeply knowledgeable about esports titles and passionate about fostering a positive environment.

Whilst this is a voluntary role, we do appreciate and value the time and support our Game Advisors provide. By way of remuneration, we provide the following benefits;
