This Game Safe Festival is hailed as the first of its kind globally, reflecting the growing need for standardised best practices in esports. It underscores the urgency for the development of agreed-upon best practices in esports, emphasising the collective responsibility of the ecosystem for the long-term commitment to effective safeguarding practices.
The Game Safe Festival is an opportunity to play and act to keep children safe online.
We’re celebrating everything that’s best about the world of gaming. The community, collaboration and creativity.
And with your support, we’re taking action to make gaming safer by design.
Bringing together key players to make sure children have positive gaming experiences and helping the adults in their lives have the knowledge, confidence and tools they need to help keep children safe when they game.
British Esports has partnered with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) to host the inaugural NSPCC Safeguarding in Esports Conference. This groundbreaking event, set to take place on Friday, February 9th, at the Confetti X esports arena in Nottingham, is a key component of the NSPCC’s Game Safe Festival, running from February 5th-11th.
