Over 700 teams and 3,000 players took part throughout 2021/22, and now 20 finalists are set to face off at the grand final with FREE tickets now available.

British Esports is pleased to announce the finalists participating in the Student Champs Grand Finals, scheduled to take place at Confetti X, the brand new purpose built esports arena at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham, on July 2nd and 3rd. It will be a LAN (local area network) event, with matches playing out on a live stage.

The Student Champs, a series of exciting and competitive grassroots video game tournaments, were designed by British Esports for students aged 12+, and open to all secondary schools, Further Education (FE) colleges and Alternative Provision (AP) schools throughout the UK.  Engaging a wide demographic of young people, this extracurricular team-based activity helps provide an avenue to motivate and inspire students to continue in their studies.

This year’s competition saw a huge number of teams compete across a variety of games including: Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League and VALORANT.

From over 700 teams across the UK competing in the Winter and Spring seasons throughout 2021/22, only the final 20 remain to battle it out in the live grand finals. The finalists include Queen Mary’s College Basingstoke, Gower College Swansea, NWSLC, Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG), Cheshire College – South & West (CCSW), South Devon College, Halesowen College, Exeter College, Farnborough Sixth Form College, Farnborough College of Technology (FCOT), AGSB, Alva Academy, and Coleg Sir Gar.

We’re also delighted to welcome the finals of the AoC Sport FIFA 22 Cup (finalists TBC) and a showmatch from the Xbox Invitational of Natspec colleges.
