The British Esports Association, the not-for-profit organisation set up to promote and support grassroots esports, has partnered with esports and video gaming job platform Hitmarker.

Both organisations will help young people, students and others find valuable careers advice and ultimately work within the industry. The British Esports careers hub has been overhauled to include the latest advice and information on different job roles within esports, from casting to production, streaming to marketing and everything in-between.

Speaking of casting, British Esports will be interviewing top LEC esports caster Aaron ‘Medic’ Chamberlain live on stream at twitch.tv/britishesports on Monday August 31st at 4pm BST. Medic will be offering viewers his advice on getting into casting and how he landed his job.

There will also be Hitmarker jobs feeds on the British Esports website, presenting job hunters with the latest relevant positions, as well as a highlighted UK job per week.

There are plenty of job spotlight articles as well as guides to help people find the right role for them and gain the experience they need to get their foot in the door. The information has also been prepared with parents, teachers, media and policy makers in mind to spread awareness of careers in esports and shed more light on the many opportunities available.

British Esports will also take a small commission from referrals to the Hitmarker website, which will help fund the Association’s operations including the running of the British Esports Championships for schools and colleges.

As part of the agreement, initially running to the end of the year with an opportunity to extend, British Esports and Hitmarker will exchange information with one another and work side-by-side to promote job prospects in esports and video games.

They will also collaborate on different content pieces over the coming months, including a mixture of career spotlights, interviews, Women in Esports content and general advice around finding jobs.

Chester King, CEO and Founder of the British Esports Association, commented: “Hitmarker is the go-to esports jobs site, so we’re naturally thrilled to be partnering with the team.

“We look forward to producing a host of content to help people find the right advice and information they need, in order to make informed choices on pursuing a career in esports.”

Richard Huggan, Managing Director of Hitmarker, added: “We’ve long admired the hard work of everyone at the British Esports Association, and it’s great to formally combine forces with them to help young people, students, and others uncover more information about the many career opportunities available in our industry.”
