The UKs biggest gaming festival is back this weekend, and British Esports will be there bigger and better than ever before.

From Friday 26th August to Sunday 28th August, we will be at the NEC in Birmingham, running a variety of activities for anyone to come and be involved in.

We will be located at Stall 7 at the event, where there will be Sim Racers provided by Williams Esports, special recordings of The BEe Show podcast, and the chance to speak with some of the British Esports staff. As well as this, we will be roaming the event getting attendees involved in fun video content.

On top of running the stall across the entire weekend, we will be hosting a panel and Women in Esports Valorant show match as well.

Panel – Friday 26th August @ 4pm:

At 4pm on the Expo Stage, we will be hosting a panel around ‘Careers in Esports: Developing skills in a Digital Economy’.

The panel will feature:

  • Saul Parsons (Host) – Video Content Executive at British Esports
  • Emma ‘Emzii’ Rose – Commonwealth Esports Championships eFootball Women’s Gold Medallist (Northern Ireland)
  • Danny ‘Tehda’ Squibb – Esports England Rocket League Coach, and Academy Coach for Guild
  • Camilla Maurice – Lecturer of esports at Mid Kent College

In this talk, the panellists will discuss the success of the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championships, career pathways in the industry, and how areas of the industry are looked into on the BTEC qualifications.

Women in Esports Showmatch – Saturday 27th August @ 11am:

On the Esports Stage, Women in Esports will be hosting a Valorant show match – featuring Game Changers players, and community members.

As well as this being a live event at Insomnia, the match will be streamed live to allow for those unable to attend in person to watch.
