The ESL Premiership UK League of Legends livestream last night achieved a record viewership of more than 21,000 viewers on Twitch.

After the end of the Intel Extreme Masters matches from Katowice, Poland, the same ESL League of Legends Twitch channelhosted the ESL UK League of Legends channel, resulting in a boost of around 20,000 viewers.

As the event progressed the number of viewers fluctuated between 21,000 and 11,000.

UK League of Legends matches usually attract a few thousand viewers, so this was a welcome boost to the UK scene.

The ESL UK finals are only a few weeks away (taking place on March 18th at ESL’s Leicester studio), with the best talent in the UK fighting for a place in the finals against XENEX.
