British Esports’ award winning Women in Esports initiative has announced the launch of the Lioness Cup, an on-going series of free to enter competitive esports tournaments designed exclusively for women and marginalised genders.

Open to all players aged 16+, and set to feature 32 teams of 5 (+2 subs) from across the EMEA region, players will compete in the fast-paced first-person-shooter VALORANT, to be crowned the inaugural Lioness Cup Champions.

Applications are now open via the Women in Esports Discord server, with a closing date of 5th October 2022.   Players without a dedicated team are welcome to join the Discord server to find additional teammates.

Offering a prize pool of £500, games will take place on the 8th and 9th October 2022 and will be live streamed on the Women in Esports Twitch channel.
