Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer Location: Remote (required to visit events and weekly meetings in London, Stoke Park or Chelmsford) Responsible to: Head of Education, Content Director and CEO Hours of work: Five days a week Salary: £20-£25k (dependent on experience) Requirements: University educated with at least 2 years employment experience in client facing, programme management roles. A background in, or strong knowledge of, the UK education system and the esports / video games industry is also recommended. A full, clean driving license, access to a car and willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK. Overall purpose: To provide support to the Head of Education, Content Director and CEO. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion in esports to really make their mark and help take the British Esports Association and esports in the UK to the next level. This is not a junior role – it’s a demanding, social, hands-on but hugely rewarding and exciting position. Specific duties: To manage the delivery of British Esports programmes and initiatives in schools and colleges throughout the UK including regular visits to these centres. To promote esports and its benefits to key stakeholders in the education industry and associated sectors. To act as the initial point of contact for all students, parents, teachers and senior leaders in education. To ensure the continued successful growth of the British Esports Championships and other initiatives through targeted business development strategies. To liaise closely with appropriate colleagues to help generate and then convert new business leads. To create and maintain a customer database and respond promptly to queries received via email (info@), phone and Twitter etc. To attend meetings and present detailed information as required e.g. quarterly Advisory Board Meetings. Regularly attend esports events in the UK to represent British Esports. Ad Hoc Projects: Business development projects with third party brands. Market research. Speaker slots. Marketing experience, video production/editing experience, social media and project management experience are essential. A background in – and strong knowledge of – both esports and video games is also recommended. Overall purpose: To provide marketing support, creative content, video content, social media support and general administrative support to the Content Director and CEO. To help run and maintain all social media network communications. To respond promptly to queries received via email (info@), phone and Twitter etc. To manage various marketing projects for the British Esports Association. To liaise with key stakeholders (schools/colleges) in esports and work with partners on various esports initiatives. To deliver the social voice and character of the British Esports Association, interacting and engaging with both content and followers online. To assist the Content Director in producing content, including developing, updating and administering the British Esports Association website. To make sure all external websites and third parties have accurate and update information and photographs. To assist the Content Director on PR related projects/activities including press release creation. To maintain various databases and mailing lists. To attend specific meetings and present detailed information e.g. Advisory Board Meetings. Regularly attend esports events in the UK. Monitor and maintain the brand guidelines for the British Esports Association. Ad Hoc Projects: Business development projects with third party brands. Market research. Speaker slots.
