Congratulations to Solihull School, who have won the British Esports Championships pilot for schools!

Solihull were up against three other schools: Westminster Academy, King Edward’s School in Bath and the Peele Community College in Lincolnshire.

The schools played Overwatch on Xbox, with Elimination matches on Wednesdays and Capture the Flag on Thursdays.

Each school played each other twice, so there were essentially six games in total.

Solihull won five out of their six games and finished top of the group, winning the championships pilot.

As for the further education colleges taking part in our pilot, the finals will take place on Wednesday April 18th between Truro & Penwith College and Sunderland College. The finals will include both League of Legends and Overwatch.

See what students think of the championships so far – including Solihull.
