Top Male UK Esports Players 2021

The UK hosts some incredible talent across multiple esports titles, and this is expanding as the industry grows. With the amount of talent continuing to grow year on year, we’ve put together a list of the top male UK players in each major title, based on merit and achievement.

We are planning on creating a list to celebrate the top female esports players, so keep your eyes peeled for that soon!Alphari was the first Welsh player to play a match at the League World Championships – reaching the quarter finals with Misfits (his team at the time).

From here, he has been able to climb from tournaments at epic.15 and Insomnia Gaming Festival all the way up to LCS.

Team Liquid recently came in second place at the LCS Mid-Season Showdown, with Alphari representing the UK.

Smooya started out his esports journey at just 17-years-old, and has gone on to become a very prominent name in the UK CS:GO scene.

From CAZ Esports to the Movistar Riders, Smooya has covered a lot of ground through his career so far.

For the Movistar Riders, Smooya is the only British player currently on the Spanish organisations’ roster at the moment, and has recently helped the team place first in the OMEN WGR European Challenge. 
After competing in the Contenders stages with North American organisation, Team Doge, Hybrid was scouted to compete for his home country in the 2021 Overwatch League.

This signing of Hybrid for Spitfire was one of two players coming from the lower levels of competitive Overwatch – the other being Swedish Hurricane player SparkR.

Hybrid was added straight onto the London Spitfire active roster earlier this year, joining Blase at the teams’ DPS. By signing Hybrid, Spitfire opened up several opportunities for tactics and gameplay – as Hybrid is known for his Ashe and Echo skills. 
At just 17 years old, Wolfiez has won three Cash Cups, four different Fortnite Competitive Series titles, and is most well known for being runner-up at the inaugural Fortnite World Cup 2019.

In 2020, UK esports organisation Excel Esports signed Wolfiez, and he became the first Fortnite player to sign for the team.

On top of all of this, Wolfiez holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest esports millionaire from a single tournament (being the 2019 World Cup).Former Natus Vincere pro CTZN is renowned for his MVP title at the Season 10 R6 Pro League in 2019.

CTZN currently sits as part of the G2 Esports Rainbow Six roster, which is described as being made up of ‘some of the best fraggers in the game’.

Here, he hopes to develop his skills even further, win more tournaments and eventually go on to compete in the Six Invitational – the biggest tournament for the title. Most recently, G2 have taken the crown at the European League 2020 finals, with CTZN helping the team to victory. Boaster is known for his role as captain for the Valorant squad SUMN FC, leading his team to victory in tournaments such as epic31 and LAVA Series. Before his Valorant career, Boaster was a content creator for Excel Esports, as well as being prominent in the UK CS:GO scene.

Fnatic picked up the entire SUMN FC roster to mark their move into the world of Valorant esports, making even more of an impact on the UK esports scene with a predominantly UK roster.

Now, as a part of Fnatic, Boaster is competing at the Valorant Champions Tour Challengers, as well as representing one of the biggest esports organisations in the world. Scottish pro Seany has been deemed one of the top emerging young talents in the European Call of Duty scene. During his time in esports, he has been a part of several prestigious esports teams. Seany’s time between the Ravens and the Raven’s Academy team has allowed him to hone in on his skills and rise to the top.

As of the 2021 season, Seany is tied with Dashy and Crimsix for the most kills (20) in a single 4v4 Search and Destroy match at a major tournament – with his record being set at the 2018 CWL Seattle Open.

Seany was signed with Excel Esports when they were just starting out as an organisation, but they have not dabbled too much in Call of Duty. However, Seany showcased a lot of his skills at some of the top European LAN events. 
Tekkz is best known for his victory for Fnatic at the eChampions League 2020 Invitational, where he took home $35,000 dollars after defeating Fokus Clan’s MoAuba.

Prior to being signed with Fnatic, Tekkz made himself known in the FIFA scene competing with The F2, winning the FIFA eClub World Cup 2019 and PGL Cup Bucharest 2018.

When he is not competing for Fnatic, Tekkz is representing Liverpool FC at the ePremier League events – taking on the other XBOX competitors. In the 2020 league, Tekkz secured a top-four-finish for Liverpool and won himself £5,000. 
Whilst Bluey was storming through Rocket League tournaments, he was unable to compete in the RLCS until Season Three, solely due to his age. Across his career, Bluey has won tournaments at Insomnia 60, and more recently RLCS Season 6 – as well as winning several ESL and Gfinity events too.

He began getting into Rocket League immediately after its release, and has progressed up the professional ladder ever since.

In 2016, Bluey, Scrub Killa and MisTaKe formed a team called ‘We Dem Babies’ – connoting the fact that each of the three players was not old enough to compete in the highest levels of Rocket League play. 
Tanner is renowned for being the first British Dota 2 player to be featured at a Dota Pro Circuit event – having played at the 2020 Bukovel Minor. On top of this, he also represented the United Kingdom at the Electronic Sports Games European Finals in both 2016 and 2017.

Earlier this year, Tanner was signed to Into the Breach – and he is one of two UK players on their DreamLeague Dota Pro Circuit roster.

Before making it to where he is at the moment, Tanner competed in several Insomnia and epic.LAN events to gain experience and develop his skill.
